How should i introduce my puppy to my dogs?
I have 2 dogs both males the alpha of the 2 is my 6 year old poodle and then theres my other dobie/shepherd 2 year old. Wednesday afternoon im bring home a new 10 week old puppy how should i go about introduceing them?
Oh and the puppy is a Rhodesian Ridgeback/Australian Shepherd/Lab female
annnd i have a cat but im pretty sure it wont matter how i introduce the puppy 2 the cat because the cats going 2 be pissed no matter what
Just put the puppy down with them for a little bit and see how they interact with each other, don’t let the males harass her either. I don’t think girl dogs like being harassed, well mine doesn’t. If things don’t work out you’d have to keep trying.

Just to be safe I would hold her in your arms and kneel down and show your other 2 dogs one by one, let them get her scent if everything goes great then let her down, but one by one and then if they both get along great then they all can be together..she will be scared because of the 2 big dogs but she will get used to it =)

Take it slow and perhaps introduce them one at a time. It’s probably be best to hold the puppy and let the older dogs sniff her to make sure they aren’t going to attack her immediately or anything like that. If they sniff her nicely go ahead and put her down and let them get to know each other. Don’t freak out if the older dogs growl a little bit, they’re just showing her that she’s the new kid and they’re in charge. If the older dogs seem a little more aggressive, try putting them on a leash while you let the puppy get acquainted. That way, if the older dogs get a little aggressive you can pull them back. Good luck!

just introduce them slowly in short periods of time then increase the amount of time until they are comfortable with each other
