One of the definitive films is Claude Lanzmann’s docu-drama "Shoah." Very, very long but very important. See below.
Then you might see "Europa Europa" and "Au revoir, les enfants".
Oh, and "The Garden of the Finzi-Contini" is worth seeing, along with the 1981 film "Mephisto," "Playing for Time," and Truffaut’s film "The Last Metro."
I nearly forgot. The "Holocaust" television miniseries of 1978 was criticized in some quarters, but it was for many people in the U.S. their first introduction to the Holocaust. It’s worth watching for the performance of several actors, including the young Meryl Streep. I’ve added a site below.
